Reporting to the Head of Jet2holidays Overseas Operations, the General Manager - Duty Office & Operational Support leads the Jet2holidays real time operations and destination support teams in the UK. You will be focused on overseeing the entire day to day operation, responsible for the Duty Office and UK Destination Support functions - this remit will also see the launch of a specialised dedicated 24/7 Customer Helpline. This key role owns the strategy, design and planning involved in delivering industry leading - and award winning - Operational Support to our Customers, Colleagues, and partners.

The General Manager - Duty Office & Operational Support ensures the effective implementation of all Jet2holidays and processes, procedures and delivery of industry leading service, standards, and adherence to polices and company obligations. You will own the Overseas Operation support function for all management of incidents, escalations and monitoring the ongoing performance of the teams. The General Manager - Duty Office & Operational Support will also support both internal and external stakeholder relationships in providing day to day guidance and subject matter expert support on overseas operations, ensuring we continue to deliver industry leading service to our customers.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in a customer focussed or operational role in a Tour Operator or Airline. You will be calm and reliable under pressure, making clear and confident decisions in challenging circumstances. You will be analytical and detail orientated, able to understand a situation and consider your response quickly. The General Manager - Duty Office & Operational Support will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a team from the front. Ideally, you will have experience working overseas and an in-depth knowledge of industry regulations relating to areas such as ABTA, Package holidays and Airline Operations.
