Job Details

We are seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic and highly motivated Catering Manager who is eager to make a positive contribution to our thriving academy and who can join our committed and experienced team as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will be experienced and highly professional and will value working as part of a busy and effective team. We are particularly looking for someone who feels able to take our catering service into the next stage of its development, with creative menus that provide learners with healthy nutritious food that they will enjoy eating.

The JCB Academy is innovative, unique and unlike any other school, with learners from Y9 to Sixth Form and providing Intermediate (level 2) and Advanced (level 3) apprenticeship programmes. From 2022/23, we will be delivering an Engineering T‑level which will provide learners with an additional qualification choice after their GCSEs.  With cutting-edge facilities, world-leading partners and genuine industrial challenges that bring theory to life, our learners are equipped with aptitudes and skills that prestigious apprenticeship providers, universities and global companies look for in future business leaders and engineers.

This is a term time only position.  In addition, the postholder may also be required to attend occasionally on Saturdays (to support open days and learner induction days) and during school holidays (to prepare for the start of the next term); this will be negotiated in advance with the postholder and s/he will receive additional payment in relation to this.  Normal working hours during term time are 40.42 hours per week; start and finish times will be between 6:30 am and 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and will be negotiated with the postholder at interview.
