Digital Marketing Executive
Accountable to Marketing Manager
Location Head Office, 1 Torrington Park, North Finchley, London N12 9TB
Job Purpose You will work across a variety of marketing channels primarily delivering the company’s website marketing activity but assisting across all digital marketing
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring all content (text, images, videos, infographics) on the website is up to date prioritising those which have the most traffic
- Add new content to the website, such as hotel descriptions, blog posts, resort or country pages (including copy, attributes and images)
- Liaise with Product, Operations and Legal Teams to check and ensure accuracy of content
- Organise and liaise with photographers, hotels and videographers as necessary to ensure we have the best imagery of our hotels
- Merchandise all web pages to improve conversion and user experience - use a test, learn, and improve methodology
- Measure and monitor conversion rates on the website and report this within team meetings
- Follow SEO best practice when creating and updating content on the website
- Update page titles, Meta and Alt tags and seek link building opportunities
- Coordinate and maintain blogs, linking them to the website
- Suggest content topics for the blog and other areas of the website based on keyword research, competition and volumes
- Assist in creating weekly newsletters to, clients, prospective clients and travel agents
- Monitor and report on competitor activity and suggest improvements to digital marketing activity

Core Competencies
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role in travel, hospitality or retail sectors
- Thorough understanding and recent experience of SEO
- Experience of using a CMS (especially Umbraco)
- Good communication skills, perfect spelling and grammar
- Experience of merchandising an ecommerce website
- Excellent attention to detail, high-accuracy and an eye for good design
- An understanding of the principals of good user experience
- Ability to work flexible working hours when business needs require
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Experience of using Adobe Photoshop to improve and create web and email display ads and images
- Highly organised
- Good knowledge of HTML and CSS
Desirable
- Experience of using SEO tools such as SEMRush, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Page speed insights, Search Console and Google Trends
- Experience of link-building
- Training or certification in user experience and / or SEO
- Copywriting or creative writing experience
- Understanding of Google Analytics
Hours of work
37.5 hour week, but flexibility to work evenings, weekends and Bank holidays required (time off in lieu as appropriate).
