Retail Operations Manager

Restaurant Associates are looking for a hands on leader, managing a frontline team of food service assistants, baristas and supervisors. Perform a variety of tasks associated with food production, front of house services and any general support required with due regard to all Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations. To perform general duties which support the efficient and profitable running of a contract or unit in line with contractual requirements. Manage client relationships.

• Good communication skills in order to be able to liaise with a wide range of visitors to your work area
• Be able to comply with legislation and follow all rules and regulation laid down in the staff handbook and unit policy statements, with regard to uniform, personal hygiene, health and safety.
• Experience of managing a comparable, commercial operation with turnover in excess of £200k
• Good financial acumen
• Creating innovative menu’s as well as executing them
• Understanding of a profit and loss account and analysing weekly flash reporting
• Ability to cost dishes to achieve targeted margin
• Experience of building and analysing sales matrix and sales mix, must be able to interpret sales data
• Manage all financial controls and drive sales
• Confidently lead and manage a team, managing the HR process in line with Compass policy, to include performance reviews, managing performance and disciplinary process
• IT literate
• Strong organisational skills
• Ability to work to strict pressured deadlines
• Team player and can-do attitude
• Takes pride in personal appearance and hygiene
• Self motivated and able to use own initiative
• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude
