We are excited to be recruiting for an experienced Destination Manager based at our flagship office in Leyland or remotely with regular travel to Leyland.  In this role you will be the expert for your destination and raise the profile of this destination, which will include defining the destination strategy; product planning; brochure production and accountability for trading performance.

As a Destination Manager you will ensure your area is accurately represented,  ensuring all product is available and on sale and making sure we have the best promotions delivered to the market quickly. You will work in partnership with our central ground service team to source market leading/exclusive offers and ensure that these are delivered to market quickly and pushed through to all relevant marketing channels.

You will work with the Sales Manager to review performance, trading conditions and real time sales performance to ensure we deliver targets and budgets. Using your destination and product knowledge, you will support the sales team, seek efficiencies and improve speed to market, supporting our competitive position as the B2B market leader.

You will be required to attend and represent the business at UK and overseas trade shows and product/sales familiarisation visits

 To be considered for this role we need you to have the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Previous significant experience within a tour operator in a similar role with relevant destination and travel market knowledge is essential
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with experience of supplier negotiations
  • Have great existing relationships with appropriate suppliers
  • A thorough understanding of hotel contracts
  • A high level of attention to detail and copy accuracy
  • Experience in product merchandising
  • Experience in managing significant workloads, the ability to work under pressure and at a fast pace, prioritising where necessary
  • Leadership skills would be an advantage
  • Good analytical skills and numerate
  • Strong commercial acumen
