We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Assistant Manager to join our team at Peterborough City Hospital.

As a Logistics Assistant Manager you will successfully assist in the manage of a highly trained Logistics team to deliver a profitable yet quality, responsive and customer oriented services to meet the clients’ expectations.

As a Logistics Assistant Manager you will be expected to:

• Understand and deliver all contractual terms
• Discuss with line manager and implement any opportunities for increasing turnover/contractual obligations
• Promote the service and act as a Compass Advocate at all times
• Analyse and manage effectively all in unit costs
• Ensure budgets are understood and achieved, and all costs are managed effectively within budget
• Ensure that all appropriate HSE information, instruction, training and supervision is provided to all employees within their control to enable them to carry out their work safely and effectively.
• Maintain up to date training records for all employees under their control.
• Team are supported, trained, coached and developed
• Ensure compliance for the Logistics services department for KPIs and required standards

Our Ideal Candidate

• GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
• Operational experience in a similar environment
• Computer literate and able to use Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook programs
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work to strict time pressured deadlines
• Able to communicate at all levels
• Good financial acumen
• Industry awareness
