Business Development Manager - Home Based - Specialist Cruise Company. An excellent opportunity for an experienced Travel Industry Sales professional to join a European, boutique cruise operator, responsible for driving sales and distribution amongst trade partners. This role could be based anywhere in the UK, working from home with regular travel to visit agent/tour operating partners or industry events.
Business Development Manager Responsibilities
Reporting to the UK Country Manager, you will be responsible for creating and driving a sales strategy that will contribute to increasing passengers from the UK source market. You will be negotiating commercial agreements with travel trade partners such as cruise agents, retail and online travel agents, tour operators and consortia, increasing brand awareness and representing the company at industry events.
In addition to developing new business and growing existing accounts, you will also lead on the creation and delivery product training webinars to drive awareness and familiarity to trade partners in order to better sell their products.
Business Development Manager Skills Required
- Experience selling to the Travel Trade, preferably in the cruise industry
- Track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial and ambitious sales professional
- Strong commercial acumen
- Experience creating and delivering training and / or webinars to trade partners
Business Development Package
A competitive salary of £40,000-45,000 (depending on experience) + up to 10% bonus, phone, laptop and all business travel related expenses
