Sales/Revenue Analyst (Ref: 220001GM)

We are looking for a person who has a passion for data, a recent university graduate perhaps, to be based in our London Town Office, the job holder will be responsible for the following:

Job Purpose

Collate, analyse and maintain qualitative and quantitative information on the drivers impacting

 

commercial performance, including gathering market intelligence and statistical data from in-house

 

and external systems. Ensure the effective interrogation and utilisation of data to promote and

 

achieve commercial objectives in the U.K.

 

 

 

Job Outline

You will track UK performance relative to the country’s revenue target and isolate performance indicators that have been critical in the UK reaching or not reaching target and provide a complete picture of UK performance.  This will be done by interrogating data from different revenue streams, and identifying trends of commercial interest; change in contribution by agent, cabin mix, class mix etc. and drawing conclusions and making recommendations to improve performance where necessary/appropriate to the Commercial Manager.

You will design, develop and produce commercial and revenue reports for key commercial stakeholders, for both forward and historic flown revenue, monitor booking class availability and inventory access on our key routes.  You will also report on the success of fare initiatives by identifying revenue generated, routes sold and contribution by agents and be the first point of contact and champion use of Salesforce.com and business intelligence for the UK team.

You will research and keep relevant benchmarking statistics on key performance indicators of the business, pursue leads and prepare, analyse and advise the UK Sales teams on commercial opportunities.  You will assist with preparing the framework for all agreements and the construction of incentive agreements to support the Sales team in the negotiation process and to ensure they are appropriately targeted and payments made in line with local budgets.  You will also compile and analyse intelligence on competitor activities, monitor the data and prepare clients’ productivity information for all segments in order to enhance sales steering.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics or a related subject involving Engineering, Maths, Economics or Data Science
  • Experience within an Airline, related to commercial operations advantageous but not necessary
  • A combined knowledge of Computer Science and applications, modelling, statistics, analytics and maths to solve problems
  • Passion for data and the ability to look at numbers, trends and data and provide new insights to influence how business challenges can be approached
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An ability to quickly become proficient in in-house reporting systems
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel/ Word and PowerPoint
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
