Job Details
Our client a specialist luxury tour operator is now seeking an Accounts Assistant offering excellent prospects within this ever growing organisation. The successful applicant will report direct to the Financial Controller employment in the UK. Within this role you will be required to assist the Financial Controller in all aspects of their job constantly looking for ways to relieve the day to day pressure. You will be required to
- Reconcile bank, credit card, foreign currency and merchant services statements with the accounting system
- Book-keeping
- Making supplier payments using bank transfer, credit cards, foreign currency accounts
- Taking client payments using credit card facilities
- Liaison with service team to ensure accurate costing and invoicing
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Assisting with preparation of monthly Board schedules
- Confidence in accounting info preparation when on occasions in sole charge
- Assistance with annual audit
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
• Previous experience in an Accounts support role preferably from the travel industry
• Administrative skills
• Excellent attention to detail
