We are also in the process of revamping our digital channels, taking a fresh, storytelling-based approach so that we can continue to bring the world to our loyal customers, and to those curious about travelling with us on an escorted tour.

We would love for you to join us on this journey. We are seeking a new addition to the Ecommerce team, an enthusiastic all-rounder who has a passion for travel, a hunger to learn more about the digital space, and can adapt to a varied and fast-paced environment. Your focus will be delivering, maintaining, and ensuring the accuracy of digital content and products on our website, feeds and other group websites using our Content Management Systems. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in copywriting and social media

What you'll be doing

The role will be varied and fast-paced with the key focus of delivering, maintaining, and ensuring the accuracy of content and products on newmarketholidays.co.uk, feeds and other Group websites using our Content Management Systems.

Key responsibilities:

  • Delivering and regularly checking content on NewmarketHolidays.co.uk, feeds and other group websites to ensure it is up-to-date, accurate and optimised effectively

  • Ensuring products are live in a timely manner on the website
  • Supporting the achievement of business targets through a rich online customer experience that promotes the brand in the best possible way
  • Work with our ECommerce team and SEO agency to implement changes where required
  • Messaging offers through our affiliate network and checking bookings

Day to day you'll:

  • Load content and imagery ensuring images are all resized correctly and optimised for web into the CMS and publishing it onto the website, feeds and other Group websites
  • Test and publish products to the live sites, and run daily checks
  • Work with the Digital Marketing Manager, Head of Marketing/Campaigns and other business stakeholders to manage the delivery of content for landing pages for both offline and online promotions and campaigns
  • Offer creative input and assist with content creation and publishing for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
  • Work with key content providers to ensure that the best possible content for each product is published online
  • Maintain a record of activity on the site so key marketing messages, site changes, tests and promotions can be reviewed anytime
  • Ensure that all content requests from around the business are logged and prioritised
  • Create and maintain content for the site’s navigation menus and search grids
  • Support team members to maintain and deliver SEO content best practices
  • Suggest innovative new ideas for online content presentation
  • Work with the Connectivity Engineer and ECommerce Director to maintain and develop best practices for content loading within feeds
  • Ensure all offers are promoted through the affiliate network and ensure all affiliate bookings have been recorded in the network and our booking systems

Who you are

  • You enjoy working in a small but expanding team that is passionate about travel, marketing (web in particular) and brand
  • Experience and/or a qualification in marketing
  • You have excellent planning and organisation skills
  • You are analytical and results driven and are able to question the data
  • The ability to thrive in a small team environment and relish the opportunity of a developmental role
  • You must be a team player and be happy to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into whatever comes your way

Joining the team at Newmarket Holidays

Newmarket is an award-winning holiday company with a team that loves travel. We share our travelling experiences with our colleagues, and encourage everyone to go on our holidays. For years we worked in a 1930s building with lots of little offices, but now we've moved to a modern office, the walls have gone and the sofas have arrived. We're really proud of the working environment we have created, and the strong focus on collaborative working and cross-department projects that it encourages.

The team is a great mix of people. Some have been there from the start, in 1983, others have joined only recently. It’s that mix that makes our team so successful – we love new ideas and change at the same time as we value experience. We want our team members to try new things and to excel, so there are opportunities to try different teams and tasks. And we have a keen interest in keeping communication open and honest. We challenge each other, and that makes us better at what we do.

We celebrate success, reward fantastic performance and have a strong focus on personal development with learning opportunities for all, including a Leadership Programme that mixes the theoretical with the practical and creates strong working partnerships across different areas.
