VP, Business Development

VP, Business Development - Specialist Cruise Company - Home Based. An excellent opportunity for an experienced Travel Industry Senior Sales professional to join a European, boutique cruise operator, responsible for driving sales and distribution across North America. You will be remotely/home based in the tri-state area, with regular travel to visit prospective clients as required.

VP, Business Development Responsibilities

• Refocus the brand communication towards destination expertise & 'intensity' . Ensuring that customer and agent messaging is consistent
• Focus on US market to build profitable scale through the right distribution with an emphasis on the travel agent, group and tour operator channels
• Develop the proposition towards 'multi-destination tour focus' educate the market on itinerary variation, land and excursion variation
• Agree and drive the commercial battleplan - for 2023 onward. Ensure target distribution channels and market is educated on new pricing fare structure and various levels of inclusiveness, develop the customer journey, improve customer communications and build the repeat and recommend capability

VP, Business Development Skills Required

• Experience selling to the Travel Trade, preferably within the cruise industry.
• Track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial and ambitious sales professional
• Strong commercial acumen

VP, Business Development Package

A basic salary up to $145,000 per annum (depending on experience) + on target 25% bonus, medical/health benefits, phone, laptop and all business travel related expenses
