Project Manager - Mobile role support all sites across the UK

Up to £40,000 per annum (DOE) - Monday - Friday role.

Free gym and Free meals when working from Ansty site.

We are looking at bringing onboard a talented individual to join us as an Project Manager to cover our UK business for our client.

The role of Project Manager is key to the company’s future development and success in delivering increasingly large projects and continuous flow of new revenue opportunities. This role will support the Area Managers in both competitive tendering when 3 competitive quotes are required ensuring like for like comparison and clear recommendations to the client as well as developing of the scope and specification for design and build projects and more complex client requests.  This person will ensure building projects remain within budget. They provide cost and material estimates, draw up projected budgets, and work alongside a team, noting any design changes and their effect on cost.

Key Accountabilities of the role are detailed below. 

  • Take a verbal specification and scope of works and develop this into a scoping document that can be utilised for obtaining like for like quotations.
  • Liaise on a regular/daily basis with the Compass Area Management team regarding time frames, preferred suppliers and intended completion dates for works
  • Obtain 3 quotations for all works of over £5k or at client request or on more complex projects to support the wider team
  • Liaise with relevant planning authorities if required
  • Maintain sub-contract data base and develop firm relationships
  • Assess tender documents to ensure sufficient information available to prepare tenders
  • Complete accurate comparison of pricing returns
  • Contractor follow up is essential
  • Manage any post tender negotiations
  • Maintain specification and contract documentation and arrange necessary prestart meetings
  • Preparation and issue of all health and safety documentation to safe.site ahead of works commencing
  • Support on regional Property calls when explanation of works and progress report is required
  • Manage any value variations
  • Finalise end of work accounts and submission of SCCF and payment of invoices
  • Previous Estimator / Project Management experience essential
  • Good working knowledge of forms of contract currently used within the building industry
  • Good working knowledge of standard forms of measurement.
  • Clean driving licence
  • Good IT skills - particularly Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • High degree of personal motivation
  • Commercial acumen
  • Ability to work as part of a close-knit management team and manage numerous activities / projects simultaneously – both short and long term.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and with the minimum of supervision
  • Good negotiator
  • Flexibility with regard to working across all areas of the business, and hours to meet the requirements of this challenging position.
