Airfares manager - Chester
Currently seeking an Airfares manager for a tour operator selling solely to the trade, tour operators and travel agents based in Chester. Paying up to £37k with an ote of 40-45k working Mon - Fri between 9am - 6pm and 1 Saturday in 3 with a week day off in lieu (Sat 10-4pm only)
This is a unique opportunity to work as part of a friendly team who has very infrequent staff turnover and who are now expanding due to demand.

Airfares Manager duties:

• Managing a small team of 5 to start and assist in growing the team to 10 in the next 6 months with the hope to expand further thereafter
• Be hands on making reservations for Travel Agents, tour operators or similar via telephone, email and fax, leading by example and assisting on escalated queries.
• Finding resolution to errors and problems
• Making bookings for Round the World and multi-sector itineraries as well as point to point using one or all 3 GDS systems - Galileo, Amadeus and Sabre
• Assisting group travellers with enquires
• Assisting with customer service and pre-departure enquiries to include reissues and refunds
• Issuing scheduled Airline tickets

Airfares Manager skills required:

• Experience in managing a team from a Travel background who work with GDS
• Experience from a flight brokers or tour operator flights department, Business Travel, or travel agency where you have booked schedule airfares using a GDS or from a ticketing managers background
• Excellent fares and ticketing Knowledge and experience of using either Galileo, Amadeus or Sabre
• Meet and exceed personal objectives in line with company KPIs and team performance
• Identify any areas where in-house training would improve performance
