Account Manager - Business Travel - c£45-48k - Hybrid /North of England. An excellent opportunity to join a well-established and award winning TMC based in the North of England where you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of national accounts. The role can be predominately remote working with occasional visits to meet clients and a few visits each month to their offices.

Account Manager Responsibilities

You will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of around 40 national accounts which vary in size from from SME's to large organisations. You will be responsible for customer satisfaction, retention and growth of your assigned accounts, providing them with the necessary support and training in areas such as using booking tools, analysing travel spend and other data. You will also work with your accounts to develop their travel policies, undertake period reviews, develop solid working relationships with key stakeholders and working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders such as operations and finance.

Account Manager Skills Required

  • Previous Account Management / Client Management experience, preferably gained in a Travel Management Company, but similar industry experience will also be considered
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Flexible to travel occasionally both to visit national clients and also head office
  • Analytical by nature and comfortable using Excel
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple workloads


Account Manager Additional Details

  • A basic salary in the region of £45,000 - £48,000 depending on experience

  • During the initial induction period you will be required to be at the office most days for a period of 1 week-10 days for training (accommodation can be provided if required), after which there is flexibility to work remotely with approximately 3 days a month in the office and some time spent visiting clients or at industry/networking events
