As an Airline reservation and ticketing executive your responsibilities will include the issuing of airline tickets, accurately and within set parameters to a given time frame. You will also work closely with the product team, helping to identify suitable routes and fares for the company’s portfolio of holiday offers. Finding cost savings and ensuring work is carried out to the highest quality to avoid errors and penalties, you will manage ticketing and airline ques and be on hand to assist the sales and administration teams.
This roles responsibilities will include:
- Making new flight reservations
- Reviewing and quality checking existing flight reservations
- Amending when needed existing reservations to correct any errors
- Working with the product team to find suitable routes and fares
- Negotiating and managing group contracts with airlines on behalf of the product team.
- Knowledge of fare rules as per airline contracts, to avoid penalties, cost increases and ADMS Managing ticketing and airline queues
- Quality checking clients final itineraries
- Supporting the sales and administration teams dealing with issuing, customer upgrades and any changes.
- Issuing published fares, ensuring accuracy for customer details and requirements.
- Issuing contracted fares, ensuring accuracy for customer details, requirements and fare rules.
- Identifying cost savings by utilising strategic ticketing rules Being a Sabre Super User
Experience/Skills:
Strong administration and organisational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external suppliers
Motivated and have the ability to achieve/exceed personal & business sales targets
Able to work as part of a team and with other teams as well as unsupervised
Able to perform under pressure in a busy environment
A responsible attitude including use of own initiative and adaptability.
