Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager required to work remotely in a field based capacity for a well established Travel Management / business travel company,

This role can be based anywhere in England providing the employee is prepared to travel to London when needed.

This is a excellent opportunity for someone with business development experience, BDM, or maybe you have been working as a field based sales executive or account manager or account executive in corporate travel, or even in B2B corporate sales and have the experience from a TMC and are looking for your next new role in this field.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities

• Work through self-generated leads and assigned target accounts and new accounts through cold-calling and prospecting to generate new business.
• Respond to RFP's and manage new tenders / bids with the bid team.
• Prepare and deliver client presentations and web demonstrations to potential clients.
• Monitor competitor activity and maintain CRM information
• Prepare sales reports including pipeline and forecasts

Business Development Manager Skills Required

• Previous experience in B2B sales within a corporate travel management business or experience selling a service in to the public and not for profit sectors.
• Experience of managing large tenders and bid processes
• Strong commercial acumen with excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• IT competency and confidence working in a technology driven environment.
• Flexibility to travel and visit clients around the UK with a high concentration in the south

Business Development Manager Additional Details

Corporate Travel - Home / Field Based - c£45k + car allowance + bonus.

• A basic salary up to circa £45,000
• Car allowance, bonus OTE of £20,000

• 24.5 days holiday, rising to 25.5 days plus option to buy and sell additional Holidays
• The role can be fully remote with anticipate travel to visit potential clients 2-3 days a week
