Sales & Operations Manager

I am currently recruiting for the UK's market-leading motorcycle tour operator, based in North Hampshire. This is a challenging position requiring quick thinking and a flexible approach, working in a small and friendly team environment, for someone who has prior travel industry experience, looking for a new challenge. Paying up to 30k DOE.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Converting web-driven, email and phone enquiries into bookings
• Sourcing, creating and booking travel itineraries
• Managing and administering group and individual bookings through to holiday completion
• Maintaining customer contact from initial enquiry to holiday completion and beyond
• Working closely with our overseas partners
• Managing our portfolio of tours
• Representing the company at shows and events in the UK

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• In-depth knowledge of the longhaul market
• Extensive travel industry experience
• Direct customer sales and relationship building
• Organising group travel

BENEFICIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

• Extensive worldwide travel experience
• Personal specialist interests/passions
• A knowledge of motorcycles and motorcycling is a BIG plus, but not essential!
• As is experience with tailor-made tours - as everyone wants to personalise in some way
• Proven record of converting leads into bookings

• Proven travel management experience
• Experience working for a tour operator
• Creating tailormade itineraries
• Ability to inspire confidence in customers and suppliers
• Enthusiastic and self-motivated team player
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

SALARY & ADDITIONAL

£27,000-£30,000

5-day week (Tuesday to Saturday), 40 hrs
Office based in Overton, Hampshire. (Some opportunity for home-working, the work is very integrated )
