My West Sussex based client is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager. If you have experience in managing a team of a minimum of 4 people, keep reading & apply today!

The role:

Reporting to the Head of Commercial you will be accountable for the management of the Commercial Accommodation & Analysis teams and the delivery of all responsibilities and activities.

  • Managing the Commercial Analysis team, ensuring high quality performance, trend and forecast data is created and disseminated across the organisation. Including identifying and tracking KPIs and distributing Management Information as required.
  • Managing the Commercial Accommodation team, in providing appropriate commercial recommendations for future accommodation development opportunities
  • Supporting the acquisition of new properties by providing all commercial input and estimates toward the creation of capital investment financial appraisals.
  • Liaising and working collaboratively with stakeholders within the wider organisation, including operations, estates, finance, marketing and member services.
  • Develop and distribute annual sales and promotion briefs to marketing to help shape effective marketing campaigns.
  • Influencing pricing, promotion, distribution and revenue management strategies for core products. This includes supporting the Pricing, Yield and Revenue Management teams within the wider Commercial department.
  • Conducting market and competitor analysis to identify customer / market trends and buying behaviours and apply findings for future product developments.

About you:

  • Previous Commercial Product Development or Product Management experience, ideally from within the travel, tour operation, vacation rental or hospitality industries.
  • An excellent manager of people who provides clear guidance, shapes and improves processes, works with confidence and collaborates well with others.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial / financial modelling process and ability to execute the modelling of commercial scenarios using technical tools and associated skills.
  • Highly familiar with the financial appraisal process and confident in preparing business cases for review and submission
  • Experience of pricing and promotions, yield and revenue management would be beneficial
  • Self-motivated, proactive and able to think logically, objectively and creatively.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and on multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent Excel skills are required; comfortable using large data sets
  • A good level of experience in using BI reporting tools such as Tableau would be ideal
  • Knowledge of marketing, finance, accounting, valuation and metrics development.
  • Understanding of budgeting process and financial appraisal processes
  • Educated to an A-level or Degree level or equivalent

The Package:

  • Salary £55,000 - £60,000
  • Monday - Friday
  • 25 Days holiday
  • Performance related Bonus Scheme
