TRAVEL MANAGER TEAM LEAD (German-speaking)
In this capacity, you'll oversee a team of approximately 6-8 Travel Managers in the Europe Team and report directly to the Head of Travel. Join us in shaping exceptional travel experiences.
Your areas of responsibilities:
- Performance Management: You are responsible for achieving qualitative and quantitative targets, which includes conducting monthly performance assessments. This involves setting and monitoring key performance indicators, as well as creating action plans to improve results.
- Training and Coaching: You will be tasked with providing training and coaching to your team to enhance their skills and ensure they meet performance standards. This involves identifying areas for improvement and facilitating development.
- Employee Development: Your role involves the development of your team members. You are responsible for creating and implementing individual development plans for your employees, ensuring their professional growth.
- Client Needs Understanding: You should possess a deep understanding of the needs and preferences of our discerning clientele. It's your responsibility to ensure that the team can meet these demands with the right expertise and customized offerings that may even exceed client expectations.
- Global Collaboration: You will maintain regular communication with specialist colleagues from other Ten offices. This collaboration ensures the utilization of global expertise to continually enhance the quality of service and offerings provided to our customers. It's about leveraging knowledge and best practices from across the organization to improve service quality.
Who are we looking for:
- Industry Expertise: You come equipped with a solid background in the travel industry, having held a comparable role in an international setting for a minimum of 3-5 years.
- GDS Proficiency: You are highly proficient in using a GDS (Global Distribution System) to facilitate travel bookings and arrangements. (Amadeus preferred)
- Collaborative Leadership: Your management style is characterized by cooperation, and you bring several years of management experience to the table.
- Exceptional Communication: You possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with an unwavering commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Language Proficiency: You are proficient in both written and spoken German and English, and having knowledge of French is a distinct advantage.
- Driven and Dynamic: You are a determined, dynamic, and highly motivated individual, known for your enthusiasm and passion for travel.
- Professional Demeanor: You are highly proficient in business etiquette and keep a professional appearance at all times.
- Problem-Solving Prowess: You exhibit the ability to proactively solve problems, always striving for effective solutions.
- Right to Work: You possess the necessary residence permit to legally reside and work in the UK. Visa Sponsorship is possible for the right candidate.
- Flexible Availability: Your flexibility extends to working variable shifts, ranging from Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday, dependent on the EU summer/winter time transition, between the hours of 8:00 and 20:00 (GMT).
