Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager from a travel industry background to join a dynamic travel management company, remote working. As Finance Manager, you are responsible for overseeing and supervising financial information produced from day to day operations of our clients UK and Europe offices ensuring compliance and local financial regulations; including supporting month end and year end tasks, developing and supervising team, as well as supporting the needs for financial reporting and analysis.

Finance Manager Duties:

  • Implement/supervise internal controls and procedures to audit the financial information derived from day-to-day operational activity.
  • Liaise with clients (Advisors) as the financial point of contact for questions and support.
  • Monitor internal credit terms and policies alongside Operations Accounting team.
  • Monitor and analyze A/R and A/P schedules; highlighting areas of concern and suggesting corrective actions; to include forecasting cash requirements.
  • Monitor forecasts to support the company's strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  • Recruit, support and lead a high-performing finance team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Finance Manager – Essential Requirements:

  • Finance Manager or a similar role is essential, preferably in Travel.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • Spanish speaking would be ideal but not essential.
