Finance Manager
This successful travel company pride themselves in providing enriching holiday experiences to a wide range of hand picked worldwide destinations, with an emphasis on adventure. They have a new vacancy for an experienced Finance Manager to join their small team in their central Brighton office. Salary £40k to £50k dependent on experience and can be full time or part time of 4 days per week.

Finance Manager - Role & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain all financial processes and reporting.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts including analysis.
  • Preparation of annual budget, P+L, cashflow and/or balance sheet forecasts.
  • Management of foreign currency contracts, supplier payments and fx analysis.
  • Completion of tax, regulatory and compliance requirements including VAT returns.
  • Process of monthly payroll and management of company benefits.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process, including liaison with auditors.
  • Critically appraise and improve business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls to find efficiency and value.
  • Support Directors/Owners with ad hoc financial modelling and business strategy

Finance Manager - Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller / Finance Manager responsible for the finance function, with travel sector experience being beneficial but not essential.
  • Professional qualifications preferred but not essential.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including month-end and consolidation processes.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Sage software.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to provide a thorough overview and simplify complex data.
  • Effective communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across the business.
  • Strong technical capability and drive to take the lead in owning projects, processes, and workflow.
  • An inquisitive mind with ability to problem solve.

Finance Manager - Key Benefits:

  • Basic salary of £40k - £50k depending on experience + bonus
  • Part time of 3 or 4 days, or full time.
