Their head office is based in London, however this role has the flexibility to work remotely with regular visits into London as and when possible around client visits and conferences.

 

What are they looking for:

A motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Business Development Executive, who will play a key role in supporting our travel agent and tour operator partners, cultivating their loyalty and driving business growth for CV Villas and our ABOVE portfolio.

The role of business development executive will regularly support our travel agent partners and promote our portfolio to ensure our brand is the travel trade’s preferred villa tour operator in the market. The role will involve representing CV Villas at evening and weekend events and include the organisation of our own travel trade events and sales missions.

The position will have regular collaboration with our sales team to assist with converting ongoing enquiries from our travel agent partners, with the goal of maximising conversion.

The individual will work closely with the product and marketing departments, to ensure they are kept up to date with all key messages and campaigns to promote out to the travel trade. There will be extensive travel required across the UK and Ireland alongside some overseas travel.

This individual must be an organised, self-motivated and proactive member of the team, providing agency sales support to our wide network of travel agencies, keeping both our reservations system and agent database up to date.

Key role responsibilities:

  • Ensure that our CV Villas travel agent social media facebook group is regularly updated with offers and engaging posts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with your portfolio of trade accounts through phone calls and in-person sales visits to generate new business opportunities
  • Maintaining our trade email inbox to direct all new and existing enquiries
  • Identifying new business opportunities across the UK and European travel trade through selected trade shows, email and in-person sales calls
  • Coordinate with various departments within the business including sales, customer experience and product to ensure seamless execution of travel agent bookings and exceptional client experiences.
  • Facilitate all agent gifting and incentives throughout the year for our trade partners
  • Assist in the creation and delivery of trade sales reports as per current business needs
  • Manage the new travel agent database on Monday.com imputing ongoing business development activity and onboarding new agency partners to the system
  • Communicate last minute availbility and distressed stock to partners by email and telephone
  • Maintain and demonstrate the required level of expertise of the company booking system and product knowledge in order to deal with travel agent amendments and enquiries as required
  • Facilitate bookings for VIPs/trade partners
  • Assist in the creation and delivery of brand and product training to our travel agent partners
  • Support the business development manager with general trade and partnership enquiries
  • Make outbound calls to trade partners to inform of new sales campaigns and incentives
  • Represent CV Villas at trade shows, networking, training events and conferences
  • Willing to travel extensively as the role develops for sales calls, client entertainment and events

Experience Required:

  • Relationship management skills, with proven relationships within the industry

  • Sales/Business Development experience
  • Prioritising, time management and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of both long-haul & short-haul travel destinations
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • In depth knowledge of the travel and tourism industry
