We are looking for a self-motivated, customer-orientated General Manager to look after up to 52 overnight guests at our boutique glamping venue from May-October.
Experience in running bedrooms / food and beverage hospitality/ events while demonstrating passion for the great outdoors is essential.

This will be a coveted and unique role reporting to the Director of Sales & Operations and working in the beautiful Home Farm surroundings.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
● Love of the outdoors! This is essential for the role and with an active
curiosity for nature.
● Experience of managing a diverse team which includes multiple functions. 
Specifically for us this means managing maintenance, cleaners, apprentices, contractors etc.
● Effectively manage time and run a smooth daily operation
● Managing guest communication from pre-check calls to check-out and regularly checking the booking system to prepare for last minute arrivals and changes
● Overseeing changeover and motivating the team during busy periods
● Oversee events on site such as weddings and corporate events
● Ensuring the site is safe, secure, clean, tidy and upholding our standards
● Managing the weekly laundry orders and deliveries
● Carrying out stock inventories and ordering new supplies
● Ensuring guests have plenty of firewood supplies: this may include chopping kindling and supplying charcoal
● Managing external suppliers who may be on-site and running classes/events (such as yoga, wine tasting, bushcraft etc.)
● Maintaining working relationships with other land users (e.g. fishermen, pheasant keepers)
● Great style on email when answering guest emails or supporting disgruntled guests

Core Job Requirements
● Proven experience working within the hospitality sector at supervisor, duty manager or manager level
● A desire for outstanding hospitality is a core requirement. You must have a natural ability to look after guests and make their experience unforgettable, and have the ability to pass this on to your team
● Strong email style, able to assist with writing social media posts, blog posts, responding to guest emails
● Can demonstrate excellent team leadership skills
● Natural problem solver and able to resolve issues that arise onsite
● Access to own vehicle is essential
● Able to work weekends and evenings when required
● Ability to manage workflow and prioritise effectively

Benefits Package
The package offered will depend on relevant experience and potential to fulfill the role;
● Competitive salary depending on experience
● Option to live on site in an attractive and modern one bedroom flat with bills taken care of, with a small salary sacrifice or live locally and commute
● Contract type – contract from mid April to early October, 45 hours per week over 5 days per week
● Time in lieu calculated for accrued overtime
● End of season bonus
