Otterburns is a brand new, dynamic and upscale destination in Runcorn, offering a unique blend of tapas, sharing plate dining, wine expertise, and a relaxed grill atmosphere in the evenings with a vibrant ambiance.

Description

We are seeking a passionate Kitchen Manager to work alongside our new General Manager in developing a premium quality menu and new kitchen environment. This management role is pivotal in delivering the highest standards of customer service, staff management, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

- Help to equip a brand new small kitchen to allow our menu to be served.

- Help to develop our brand new daytime AND evening food menus.

- Oversee all aspects of the kitchen and food preparation process
- Continually develop menus that align with the restaurant's concept and target audience
- Ensure high-quality food is consistently prepared and presented
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and prep workers
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to plan and execute special events or promotions
- Stay updated on industry trends and new culinary techniques

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a hospitality or restaurant setting
  • Strong cooking skills and knowledge of various culinary techniques
  • Proven ability to lead and supervise a team of kitchen staff
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Creative mindset with the ability to develop innovative menu items
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff, management, and customers
  • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food production, food preparation, and kitchen cleanliness
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standards of quality and presentation

Qualifications:

  • - Previous experience in a leadership role in a restaurant or culinary setting (not necessarily as Head Chef)
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
  • Excellent culinary skills with a focus on quality and consistency
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with staff at all levels
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
