Job Details

Payments Administrator. Are you an Accounts Assistant, with hands on experiences in payments? Have you worked within a Travel, Tourism or hospitality environment? Payments Administrator required for a highly reputable Tour Operator specialising in bespoke small group and individual tours in throughout the UK and Ireland. We are seeking an accounts administrator proficient in Excel, to ensure efficient and timely payments for the Travel Company's business partners. Starting salary is circa £25k pa with additional benefits. This is an office-based role in central Glasgow (hybrid may be considered).

JOB DESCRIPTION:
* As Payments Administrator reporting into the Operations Manager, your primary responsibilities will be providing a professional, efficient and timely payments service to our business partners.
* You will be actively involved and responsible for maintaining good relationships with our longstanding suppliers.
* Key duties are accurate invoice handling, preparing weekly payment sheets, managing monthly statements, discrepancy troubleshooting, processing commission payments and getting actively involved in rates and margin analysis.
* Forecast and manage weekly to monthly workloads and submit regular reports to the Managing Director and Accountant as required.
* Comply with industry regulatory standards at all times.

THE PACKAGE:
Starting salary is circa £25k dependent on experience and there is an additional company bonus, plus this company facilitate experiencing their tours and itineraries. This is a permanent, full-time position, based in central Glasgow (hybrid may be considered). Some evening and weekend working may be required at peak times as well as taking your turn to cover the 24/7 duty rota for customers on holidays. This role has scope for career progression.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Ideally you would have worked in a similar accounts administration role for a travel company, with at least one year in a hands-on payment role. You will be proficient in Excel and have highly proficient numeracy & analytical skills. You will be able to prioritise, have excellent written & spoken English, with a strong commitment to customer service.
