The Content Executive is a key player on the Jacobs Media team, with a particular focus on delivering digital campaigns for commercial partners across our B2B travel brands.
Responsibilities include maintaining website content, creating social media posts and sending email newsletters and other promotional communications. 
This varied role requires the ability to adapt quickly to embrace new opportunities across digital platforms and is a great opportunity to work in an ambitious company within a fast-paced and sociable sector.

Roles / Responsibilities
• Maintain editable non-automated content on websites including articles and page furniture
• Create and update pages in content management systems such as competitions and news roundups
• Create and send editorial newsletters and promotional communications
• Maintain site advertising banners
• Act as a point of contact for colleagues across sales, editorial, events and other teams, and for external partners
• Liaise with external partners to obtain advertising and sponsored content and deliver on agreed schedules
• Monitor effectiveness of campaigns and report back to colleagues and external partners
• Promote the group’s news, brands and events through social media accounts

Key skills and experience required
• Experience in a similar position
• Excellent spelling, punctuation and grammar; eye for design and layout
• HTML – experience of email creation in an editor such as DreamWeaver a plus
• Experience of writing for the web and an understanding of SEO principles
• Understanding of what makes effective social media posts and ability to tailor posts to different audiences
• Adaptability to learn new technology and awareness of current digital trends

Additional useful skills
• Experience using email marketing software
• Understanding of analytics platforms to measure digital activity
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud applications
• The ability to create and manipulate images in Photoshop or similar applications
• Video editing
• Knowledge of the travel industry
• Tertiary qualification in communication/journalism/marketing
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment, especially news
• Understanding of copyright and media law principles
• Database management skills
• Strong communicator and team player
