We have a fabulous opportunity for an experienced retail travel, industry professional to join a leading travel organisation based in Leeds, as a Branch Manager.

This role is perfect for an Assistant Manager looking for their next step, or those already at Branch Manager level, looking for a new and exciting opportunity within the travel industry!

Our client is going from strength to strength and this role will see the successful candidate enjoy a busy and varied position, with a particular focus on marketing and social media activity for the branch, alongside the day to day management of the travel sales team.

General office hours are Monday - Friday 9am – 5.30pm and Saturdays 10am - 4pm and the role offers a hybrid working option.

Role of Retail Travel Branch Manager:

  • Managing a small call centre team ensuring sales targets are met / exceeded through various channels including sales calls and web enquiries, as well as social media and group bookings.
  • Managing admin staff for invoicing, ticketing and customer correspondence.
  • Developing sales and marketing activities to generate new business from the local community including leaflets, adverts, brochures and attending events and fairs.
  • Marketing duties include developing a loyal customer base through various customer retention methods, along with the creation of weekly email shots and the regular updating of social media pages.
  • The generation and implementation of new ideas is a must to drive the business forward.
  • Offer a service that is focused on selling through excellent use of product knowledge and matching customer needs and requirements.
  • Deliver sales targets by maximising profit and potential sales opportunities at all times whilst offering an exceptional and personalised service.
  • Able to work autonomously, feeding back to the General Manager on a weekly basis by reporting and general communication.

Skills required for the role:

  •  Managerial experience gained within a similar travel sales role.
  • The ability to work to and focus on sales targets.
  • Experience of and in interested in Marketing & Social Media for the branch
  • Ability to lead by example and possess excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and to be able to work in a busy environment, working under pressure.
