Fluent French Operations Manager

Fluent French Project Manager for niche Scottish DMC. Bespoke Destination Management Company for Scotland, who create and promote original, authentic & immersive itineraries and events to the European MICE (Meeting Incentive Conference and Corporate Events) Industry, are growing their team and keen to find a passionate Travel or Hospitality Professional, with a real knowledge and passion for Scotland, who can communicate Fluently in French and English. Wonderful opportunity to join a small independent, that is established and growing, to really be part of their evolution. This is a varied opertional role as a Project Manager, dealing with key accounts, building relationships, with clients and suppliers, as well as creating bespoke itineraries & events that showcase Scotland. Salary is negotiable, as consideration will be given to those candidates in the early stage of their DMC career, or working within the events or Tourism industry, but keen and to learn and grow with the role; or to a candidate already fully experienced, but wishing to move to a company whose Scotland product truly stands out and who see the potential within a growing business.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This Destination Management Company main activity consists in working in partnership with foreign agencies, sharing our knowledge and passion for Scotland, creating experiences that showcase the real heart of Scotland
As a Passionate Project Manager of the Scottish office you will be:
* Looking after the key accounts and operating groups when traveling in Scotland
* Bringing your knowledge and Passion for Scotland every day at the office.
* Creating and designing bespoke programmes for corporate groups
* Maintaining a high level of service with our clients with your experience in events and your knowledge of our specific destination
* Animating site inspections with our clients
* Developing and building a fantastic relationship with our local partners
Your duties will include:
* Create powerful and attractive Power point presentation
* Build detailed budget on excel
* Contact & negotiation with our local partners
* Contact & negotiation with our customers
* Responsible of your groups from creation to delivery
* Lead site inspections and groups in Scotland
* Follow up with local partners and customers to build relationships

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
This role is open to candidates that have previous experience within a similar Project Manager role withing a DMC, but see the value in joining a smaller, but passionate business, when it comes to the Scotland and everything it has to offer. It would be a great opportunity for an experience individual to come with ideas and ambition. Equally you may be at the earlier stages of your career within the tourism or events industry, with a deep affinity for Scottish culture and destination, with an outgoing disposition, and a desire to learn and grow with the role. It is essential that you are fully fluent in both French and English.

THE PACKAGE
We are looking to build a strong and passionate team within their Edinburgh offices. This role offers hybrid working after probation, but with office based working for the first 6 months as you immerse yourself in the role and learn all aspects of the business. It is Monday to Friday 0900-1800. Salary package is very much dependent on experience and negotiable, and the package and benefits can be discussed in more detail at application and interview stage.
