Purpose of Role

To deliver & maximise targeted sales & profit, secure strong levels of consumer loyalty through service and relationship.

Responsible for pro-actively seeking new business opportunities and delivering key client sales volume in line with budget planning.

Establish and develop strong relationships with all existing and new customers.

Job Profile
•    Answer incoming sales calls from clients and convert into confirmed bookings through delivering a professional & friendly service which maximises delivery of your expert product knowledge. 
•    Create and identify new opportunities for outbound sales calling to secure new bookings; outbound call pre-registered clients where appropriate.
•    Develop loyalty and increase customer satisfaction with key clients through excellent account management and regular touch points including face to face meetings.
•    Maintain a strong commercial understanding of both the market and competitors and be quick and agile to respond accordingly.
•    Identify any enquiries which are opportunities for cross selling across Black Opal Travel Group products and convert to bookings.
•    Accurately price & book all elements of a client’s holiday using relevant systems and working directly from hotel contracts where relevant.  
•    Deliver the best tailor-made holiday price which represents value through your expert understanding and knowledge of current air and hotel special offers, securing added value from partners above and beyond contracts and packaging holiday prices to build in added value where appropriate.
•    Increase revenue and profit on every tour and tailor-made booking through up selling and adding on services including extensions, upgrades, meal plans, car hire where appropriate etc.
•    To manage pro-actively and effectively booking amendments and cancellations with the support of the Sales Administration team and to minimum standards and time frames. 
•    Complete organised and accurate client files in line with minimum standards and time frames. 
•    Follow up any unconverted enquiries within 24 hours of initial quote; continually work options to maximise bookings
•    Continually increase and improve product knowledge by attending training in and out of hours, self-study including on line training and overseas familiarisation visits. 
•    Pro-actively use and update CRM in order to improve quality of service delivered and improve quality of information available to internal departments (marketing).  
•    Develop, maintain and heighten rapport and relationship with clients, travel agents and industry partners
•    Complete pre-departure and welcome home calls where appropriate
•    Engage pro-actively in internal meetings, always seeking to improve, simplify and enhance procedures, service to clients and Black Opal Sports tour and tailor-made experience. 
•    Act as an Ambassador of Black Opal at all times being fully aware of companywide developments, industry and relevant worldwide current affairs so that you can represent in a professional, knowledgeable and impressive manner. 

Required Skills & Qualifications:
-    English Language & Mathematics to GCSE/O LEVEL standard
-    Word, Outlook, Travelink and Amadeus  competent
-    Proven successful  track record in sales  
-    Excellent selling and negotiating skills 
-    Practical experience in delivering high quality customer service
-    Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills
-    Expert Product knowledge in Sports tour destinations and products

Required Personal Qualities: 
-    Passion for travel and sport
-    Confident, sociable, approachable and enthusiastic communication and  behaviour
-    Enjoys inter-acting with and meeting people and demonstrates successful inter personal skills on all levels
-    High degree of numeracy – can work with different currencies, rates and conversions.
-    Good commercial awareness
-    Highly self motivated
-    Team player – demonstrates sharing of knowledge & successes 
-    Works well under pressure as an individual and as a team
-    Strong sense of personal accountability and responsibility
