We're now looking for a highly driven Trade Sales Support Executive to join our team, supporting the Business Development Manager - Trade, and creating lasting relationships with Trade clients worldwide to develop sales.
About the Role
This is a dynamic and fast-paced role, responsible for supporting the Business Development Manager - Trade in the development of UK and international trade presence, establishing and nurturing productive working relationships with with our travel agent and tour operator partners, cultivating their loyalty and driving business growth for Solmar Villas.
We're looking for someone to ensure our Travel agents have full awareness of our extensive villa portfolio and to ensure that Solmar Villas is the Travel Trade's preferred villa operator in the market.
The individual will also be required to take reservations calls from our travel agent partners as required. to meet demand.
This role comprises of a mixture of sales, administration and marketing so the individual must be a self-motivated, organised and proactive member of the team.
Additionally there may be some out of hours support required on occasion; some weekend work, and travel required both in the UK and overseas.
The ability to work on your own initiative and react quickly to provide accurate information and resolve issues raised is key.
Other duties include:
. Supporting the Sales team in taking trade sales reservation calls.
. Supporting the Business Development Manager with building & maintaining strong relationships with our portfolio of trade accounts through phone calls & in person sales visits to generate new business opportunities.
. Maintaining our existing trade sales inbox for new & existing enquiries.
.Working with the Business Development Manager to identify new business opportunities through market research, travel trade events/shows and in person sales calls.
. Coordinating with departments across the business including sales, marketing and concierge to ensure seamless execution of travel agent bookings and customer service.
.Assisting the BDM in regular trade sales reporting in line with the business needs.
-Manage the travel agent database and CRM system and support new trade partners with the onboarding process.
.Assisting in the creation and delivery of brand and product training to our travel agent partners.
.Communicating late deals and special offers throughout the trade database by email, social channels and calls.
.Ensuring Solmar Villas agent social media pages are regularly updated with offers and engaging posts.
.Facilitating all agent gifting and incentive throughout the year for trade partners.
.Representing Solmar Villas at trade shows, networking, training events and conferences as required.
We're looking for someone who :
. Has excellent people skills, and a proven track record of ability to network and build effective business relationships.
. Is enthusiastic and dedicated, working well in a team as well as being able to work alone to deliver strong results.
. Has strong experience of working in a customer facing role; ideally within a travel and tourism business.
. Experience within the travel industry or similar environment would be beneficial.
· Has the ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with people at all levels.
· Is self-motivated and organised, with strong attention to detail; excellent time management skills and the ability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines.
· Is competent in using I.T, including but not limited to; Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
· Has excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Creative flair, with an ability to think outside the box and reach appropriate solutions to challenging problems.
· Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
· Good interpersonal skills and approachability - the ability to interact commercially with colleagues across the business at all levels, with external customers and Key Accounts via an excellent telephone
manner and email correspondence.

Schedule:
