Job Description
SCENIC & EMERALD CRUISES are luxury river and ocean cruise brands with offices in Manchester City Centre. This is a rapidly growing company with an exciting and challenging role within the Sales Team.
Role Summary
• Provide support to the Charter and Incentive Sales Manager to execute all charter operations and administrative requirements.
• Proactively manage relationships with key clients.
• Support the Groups Executive with operational requests for group bookings.
Responsibilities
• Build strong rapport and supportive relationships with clients, to ensure flawless execution of each charter post contract
• Ensure frequent communication, updates and resolve potential issues in a timely manner
• Uphold deadlines for both internal and external stakeholders
• Plan and discuss nautical routes with clients and operational teams
• Create and provide passenger manifests, excursions manifests and excursion pricing to clients
• Provide professional follow-up and serve as liaison between clients and internal teams (namely the Ocean Charter Co-ordinator & River Charter Co-ordinator)
• Take ownership of planning documents ready for handover to the Charter Co-ordinators (river & ocean)
• Auditing of technical itineraries to ensure alignment with client wishes and contractual obligations.
• Plan and coordinate directly with clients in regard to customised events, special onboard programming and entertainment, unique food and beverage requests, and other items that may be consistent with the parameters of the client’s agreement
• Track payments and invoices
• Create new partners in Expressbook and liaise with operations and finance teams
• Coordinate the delivery of final documents with the operations department providing lead time to fulfil requests and input guest data into Expressbook including appropriate special request forms.
• Support in group and charter sales where necessary
Events
• Lead arrangements for trade shows and networking events including stand spaces, brochure orders and travel arrangements
• Book and manage the process of client site inspections and familiarisation trips
• Support networking events and trade shows - Role may involve occasional international travel and overnight stays
• Order merchandise, account gifts and prizes as required
Required Skills
• Operational experience and organisational skills are essential
• Efficient and professional client communication
• Critical thinking and solution orientated approach

Experience/Education
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in operational/organisational role is essential
• Travel industry experience is essential
• An understanding of onboard ship operations is desirable
